Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within GMS for an Electrical Shift Technician, the post is to be based at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital, however, the successful candidate may be required to work across all GMS properties and contracts.
The role would suit a qualified Electrical Technician an understanding of the day to day maintenance requirements of an occupied building.

Main duties of the job
The post holders main duties will include diagnosing and repairing faults to mechanical building services, plant and equipment which may involve working with specialist contractors. The essential qualifications are City and Guilds Advanced Craft in a recognised mechanical engineering discipline or equivalent. Applicants should have served a recognised and registered engineering apprenticeship and have a minimum 3 years experience in maintenance work.
The successful applicant will be expected to carry out hands on duties and will be an active member of the 24/7 on-call rota. Initially the post will involve working days with the provision to provide pre planned evening and weekend shift cover for annual leave and sickness absences with a future requirement to transfer to a permanent 1 in 3 week shift pattern. (0700-1500, 0800- 1600, 1300 2100).
