Volunteer and Lived Experience Lead - Inclusion Drug & Alcohol Recovery Service, Isle of Wight

Main duties of the job
Main duties will include:
o Managing an effective Volunteer and Lived Experience/Service User Involvement Scheme on the Isle of Wighto Ensuring volunteers receive appropriate trainingo Providing training to external agencies throughout the Isle of Wight on Inclusion Service Provision and Drugs and Alcohol Awarenesso The line management of volunteers, apprentices and trainee recovery workerso Day to day operational management of their tea

Main duties will include:
- To ensure appropriate advertising and other publicity to promote both schemes and that all material produced is in accordance with Inclusion and Trust standards.
- To be responsible for the recruitment, training and supervision of volunteers and Lived Experience/Service User Reps
- To be responsible for the placement of volunteers within appropriate teams, undertaking stage-appropriate tasks and activities
- To design and lead the delivery of appropriate induction, including health and safety training, and Inclusion policy and procedures
- To establish and maintain a network of partner agencies to support and contribute to the scheme.
- To take the lead role in the design and delivery of a suitable skills and knowledge-based training package (to include substance use and related issues) for volunteers and Lived Experience/Service User Reps
- To provide regular supervision and support to Volunteers to ensure that care standards are maintained and that clients receive the most appropriate care.
- To undertake any management related processes with Volunteers, including supporting through periods of sickness, addressing any performance or conduct issues and liaising with workplace supervisors where the volunteers are placed.
- To ensure all Lived Experience/Service User Reps receive appropriate levels of support
