The successful candidate will:

  • Ensure the effective management of a ward in the absence of the Clinical Manager with day-to-day responsibility of managing the shift and bed management.
  • Deliver a high standard of patient care on a daily basis and providing clinical and managerial leadership and teaching to nursing and support staff.
  • Assess care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care for patients who suffer from alcohol and drug dependency.
