Main duties of the job

Provision of primarily alcohol treatment to Service Users within the locality.

Holding a caseload of service users and being responsible for offering a range of interventions to those individuals.

Supporting service users through their treatment journey from beginning to end

Embracing the concept of recovery and demonstrating this in your clinical work

Ensuring that your work is evidence based, up to date and in accordance with current policy and legislation.

Keeping up to date and accurate records and documentation.

The role lends itself to experienced applicants, who have robust knowledge of alcohol (and the risks associated with alcohol and other substances) and its effects both physically and mentally. Delivery of harm minimisation, facilitating safe reduction plans, liaison with health care professionals, conducting home visits, supporting referrals to inpatient units or facilitating home detoxes will form part of the role. In addition to this, the successful applicants will also be required to create holistic care plans, identify and manage risks accordingly. Caseload management skills and good organisational skills are essential to supporting the clients treatment journeys.
