We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Marketing and Communications Officer to cover a period of maternity leave within the team until 31st December 2023. This role is a home based role.
The post holder will be responsible for
- Creating and implementing a Marketing and Communications strategy for MPFT sexual health services Share key messages with service users via a variety of channels
- Graphic design for promotional materials
- Working in partnership with LA comms teams re sexual health key messages, local and national campaigns
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for the development and implementation of a complex and comprehensive portfolio of marketing projects and campaigns to support the implementation of Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (MPFT) Sexual Health Services strategic and operational marketing plan.
To deliver a programme of communications to a range of target audiences internally and externally including effective messages, using a variety of techniques including social media and other emerging communications technology and internet marketing.

- To assist the Service Managers in the planning, design and production of reports.
- To act as brand champion for the trust ensuring the brand is used in the correct way, providing updates when appropriate and policing the use of the brand internally and externally.
- Support the management of the budget allocated for communications and engagement activity, ensuring allocations are not exceeded and procurement policies are adhered to.
- Identify and produce positive news about the services for local, regional and national media and other key stakeholders.
- To work with external agencies to plan mixed media campaigns to meet key performance indicators.
- To take responsibility for the production of marketing materials, including leaflets, posters, flyers, newsletters and e-newsletters and on-line materials including writing and proofreading copy, liaising with designers and printers and overseeing advertising, public relations, organising events and product development within the marketing function.
- To provide comprehensive consultation and engagement to support the Sexual Health Teams and the wider health economy.
- The post holder will be responsible for the creation, development and implementation of a wide range of consultations encompassing numerous services and analysis of a range of personal behaviours, trends and attitudes.
- To maintain an up to date knowledge of current marketing, communication and engagement methods and implement this at local level.

- To support the service to capitalise on the website, social media and emerging technology across a range of appropriate campaigns. Drive forward web initiatives by promoting appropriate us of social media and e-marketing.
