An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent Support Worker position to contribute to the work and development of the Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland (LLR) Sexual Health Services.
The postholder will work within the well established Prevention and Promotion team within the Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Sexual Health Services
This post combines office working with opportunities to attend outreach events within the local community and to identify needs and issues arising from these activities in order to provide relevant information and to signpost to local services.
The post holder will assist the project workers in the delivery of key initiatives within the aims and objectives of the C Card Scheme. The C Card Scheme offers people in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland access to free condoms and sexual health information within the Sexual health Service and in over 150 community based venues, including pharmacies, schools, colleges and targeted projects. We are looking to appoint someone who is able to ensure the needs and wishes of service users are at the centre of what we do. You will need to work flexibly to meet the needs of the role occasionally including evenings and weekends.
Car driver preferable as the role includes travel to partner agencies.
Main duties of the job
JOB PURPOSE.
The post holder will support the Sexual Health Service team by providing a comprehensive administrative and clerical service including data inputting and collection and supporting some outreach events.
The post holder will regularly deal with a mixture of routine tasks as required for an efficient and effective service. This includes inputting patient data, visits to partner agencies and attendance at events e.g. C-Card scheme registration events in academic venues.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential with an ability to deal with confidential patient data and to engage successfully with young people at outreach events. The post holder will be required to demonstrate competence with Microsoft Office packages.

- To open, date stamp, sort, prioritise and distribute correspondence as directed
- To accurately input patient data from patient registration forms for the C-Card scheme, reporting backlogs to the Senior Project Worker
- To update patient information on the system as required
- To assist the Senior Information Analyst with validating service related data
- To send incorrect or incomplete data forms and activity sheets to the Senior Project Worker
- Efficient, timely and accurate data entry in order to meet reporting deadlines, reporting any delays to the Senior Information Analyst and Senior Project Worker
- To provide a full range of office support systems including scanning patient information into electronic patient record system, photocopying, filing and archiving and tracking of files
8. Deal with general enquiries from various agencies both statutory and voluntary in a confidential and sensitive manner. Accurately record any messages and ensure suitable follow up
- Work in conjunction with other administrative roles to ensure adequate office cover
- Maintain strict confidentiality of information concerning patients and sensitive Trust business at all times
- To be responsible for the safety and security of own computer equipment i.e., emails, word documents etc.
- To implement any administrative policies and changes to working practices that may be required and as agreed
- To attend and support the delivery of outreach events, in particular C-Card scheme registration events
- Effective management of resources, assist with the ordering and monitoring of resources to maintain programme delivery as directed by Senior Project Worker
- Maintain concentration when producing reports to a high standard and accurately inputting data

- To maintain and promote professional standards of behaviour and dress
