Main duties of the job

We are currently recruiting for a Band 2 Receptionist for our Havant service. There is some weekend and evening working involved, but this is on a rotational basis.

Provide a full secretarial service to the team.

  • Preserve and uphold confidentiality of all client information.
  • Maintain filing systems.
  • Be responsible for receiving incoming post and deal with any items where appropriate. Bring to the attention of team members any items relevant/appropriate for them to see/action.
  • Be familiar with the confidential referral system operated by the team.
  • Provide callers, G.Ps, other professionals, staff relatives, drug users and other agencies with educational information and self-help materials.
  • Support the administrator in the monitoring of stock and re-ordering as appropriate
  • Carry out the requisitioning procedure for office equipment, clinical equipment and resource materials.
  • Provide administration duties at meetings. Prepare and take minutes where appropriate.
  • Operate petty cash system.
  • Inputting of service reporting data when required
  • Demonstrate general awareness and sensory attention
  • Undertake audits as necessary in relation to own work
