Main duties of the job

To effectively communicate and work collaboratively with a range of people including service users, colleagues, prison staffs, external partners/providers to ensure the service users' needs are met.

  • To work within and promote an integrated drug and alcohol recovery service.
  • To be professional at all times, including whilst representing Inclusion at internal and external events.
  • To take part in appropriate training and development; to demonstrate local work routines to new starters or temporary staff.

The post holder as an individual is required to understand their responsibility for respecting and promoting issues of equality diversity and rights in accordance with good practice and legislation.

  • responsible for reading, understanding and complying with all relevant trust and statutory policies and procedures including the specific responsibilities related to infection control.

To keep up to date records and information for the purpose of internal and external evaluation.

Inclusion, created in 2002 is part of the Specialist Services Care Group of Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (MPFT). We provide caring and effective services across England, including, West Yorkshire, West Midlands, East Midlands, West Mercia, Thames Valley, Hampshire, Isle of Wight and Thurrock, Essex.

  • Preserve and uphold confidentiality of all client information.
  • Receiving complex or sensitive information, and pass on information to other staff by prioritisation
  • Maintain filing systems.
  • Word processing - To provide a word processing service to a high standard of accuracy, including the typing of letters, reports and memorandas. Work to a range of work procedures and practices, some of which are none routine, which require a base level of theoretical knowledge. Required to sit for long periods of time in front of VDU.
  • Be responsible for receiving incoming post and deal with any items where appropriate. Bring to the attention of team members any items relevant/appropriate for them to see/action.
  • Be familiar with the confidential referral system operated by the team. Supervise the operation of the system.
  • Proor monitoring stocks and re-ordering these materials.
