We are looking to expand our senior management team with the appointment of a Chief Operations Officer for our Technology Services division. You'll be the go-to person for all things in technology operations and make sure that our services run smoothly, efficiently and keep our customers happy.

Main duties of the job

Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) the Chief Operations Officer (COO) for Technology Services will lead the overall operations of the company's technology service management, end-user, infrastructure and back-office services. You will be responsible for ensuring that our operational technology services are delivered with the highest levels of efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction. The COO will work closely with the CTO and other senior executives to develop and execute strategic initiatives, optimise operational processes, and ensure our technology offer meets the needs of a varied customer base.

During Oracle EPR deployment, go live and early life support you will also be responsible for leading on all technical aspects of the programme.

Job responsibilities

Operational Leadership:

Oversee day-to-day operations of technology service management, infrastructure and back-office services.

Manage and streamline processes to improve service delivery, operational efficiency, and resource utilisation.

Lead, develop, and motivate a high-performing team of technology professionals, delivery managers and services operational staff.

Strategic Planning and Execution:

Collaborate with senior leadership to define and execute long-term strategies for the technology services division.

Align operational objectives with overall business goals and ensure the operational strategy is in line with the companys vision and objectives.

Drive the implementation of new technology initiatives, operational improvements, and cost-reduction measures.

Reduce complexity and risk through standardisation of platforms and technologies

Ensure end user technology is aligned to roles and drives efficient use of our clients investment.

Oracle EPR

Lead on all aspects for delivery of the end user computing environment for Oracle EPR

Participate in EPR project workstream meetings for all areas as required

Work with the EPR Technology team to develop appropriate support models for the single instance Oracle EPR

Service Delivery Management:

Ensure consistent, high-quality delivery of technology services to clients, meeting both contractual obligations and client expectations.

Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the performance of the technology services division.

Implement best practices for service delivery, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement.

Financial Management:

Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation for technology services operations.

Develop financial models to measure operational performance and identify areas for cost optimisation.

Ensure the division meets financial goals while maintaining quality and customer satisfaction.

Innovation and Change Management:

Identify and leverage emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance service offerings and improve operational processes.

Lead efforts in change management, ensuring smooth transitions as new technologies, processes, or strategies are implemented.

Promote a culture of innovation within the technology services team, encouraging creative problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Compliance and Risk Management:

Ensure that all technology services comply with industry standards, regulations and best practices.

Maintain current accreditations and identify opportunities for additional industry recognised accreditation.

Develop and implement risk management frameworks to mitigate operational, financial, and cybersecurity risks.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:

Communicate operational strategies, performance updates, and issues to the CTO and executive team.

Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, third party suppliers and strategic partners.
