We're offering an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join us as an Electrical Maintenance Apprentice, where you'll learn on the job while working towards completing a recognised apprenticeship in Electrical Maintenance within a NHS environment.

You will be employed on a fixed term contract, working 37.5 hours a week, with time for formal study. A high percentage of our Apprentices are recruited into permanent employment within BFS during and on completion of their Apprenticeship.

Youmust notalready hold a same or higher level qualification in the same subject area.

Main duties of the job

As an Electrical Maintenance Apprentice, you will:

Assist in the maintenance, repair, and installation of mechanical, electrical, sterile services decontamination engineering equipment and building services systems.

Work under supervision to carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), testing and verification, and reactive maintenance tasks.

Learn to diagnose faults and carry out repairs on a wide range of hospital engineering systems and equipment and undertake a multiskilled approach.

Operate all relevant tools, machinery and test equipment

Support compliance with statutory regulations and NHS standards, including health and safety, infection control, and sustainability.
