Do you want to make a real difference to hospital patients? Are you enthusiastic and eager to learn? We have permanent opportunities for Maintenance workers within our Operational Estates Department for experienced Electrical staff to join our Engineering Team.
Starting Salary basic: £35,850 pa
Additional non-contractual attendance bonus: £1,000/annum
On call allowance premium: Circa £2,000/annum
Plus: circa £3,000+ for attending on call
The shift pattern for the role is:
06.00-14.00
08.00-16.00
10.00-18.00
On call requirements for evenings, nights and weekends to provide a 24/7 service.
In the role, you will carry out all planned preventative maintenance activities related to the electrical infrastructure of an hospital site.. You will trouble shoot, diagnose and carry out repairs throughout the hospital and the wider community. The role also attracts a non-contractual attendance bonus.
You'll be part of the Barnsley Operational Estates Services Team, based at and working in Barnsley Hospital. With requirements to maintain satellite buildings such as the Barnsley Community Diagnostic Centre. Were looking for a team member who wants to develop; previous experience is essential however training and support are a priority to us. Youll have the chance to progress and learn new skills.

Main duties of the job
In the role you will carry out planned preventative maintenance, trouble shooting, repair work and provide a first-class emergency service on a wide range of plant and equipment throughout the hospital and the wider community. You will be expected to participate in an emergency on-call rota for the out-of-hours service provided by the department. The role also attracts a non-contractual attendance bonus.

Were looking for team members who want to develop; previous experience is essential however training and support is a priority to us.
