The Quality Assurance Officer is a key member of Barnsley Facilities Services (BFS), working at the heart of Estates & Facilities to ensure patients, visitors and staff experience a safe, clean and well-managed environment. In this highly varied and engaging role, you will support both in-house services and outsourced contracts by monitoring performance, auditing standards and helping drive continuous improvement across the E&F services. With a particular focus on the National Cleaning Standards, you will champion quality, compliance and excellent customer experience, helping managers enhance service delivery across the Trust. Ideal candidates will bring strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills and the confidence to work across departments. The role requires a confident user of IT applications, with the ability to troubleshoot issues, provide system administration support and apply problem-solving skills across a range of digital platforms. Main duties of the job

The Quality Assurance Officer ensures the effective monitoring, auditing and reporting of Estates & Facilities services across BFS. The post holder updates and administers CAFM systems, coordinates audit schedules, delivers minor works projects, manages PAT testing data, contributes to continuous improvement initiatives, produces periodic and ad hoc reports for management, analyses data to identify trends, updates property and asset registers following changes, and amends PPM schedules under instruction of the Estates Team. The purpose of this role is to assure service quality, strengthen compliance, and help deliver a safe, efficient and patient-focused environment across the Trust.
