Job summary
BFS Facilities Services have vacancies for enthusiastic team players to work as Facilities Operatives, joining our Domestic Cleaning & Housekeeping Services at Barnsley Hospital.
We are looking for flexible individuals, eager to learn and develop in fast moving and challenging area of our business. Previous experience is desirable, but full training will be provided.
We have the below working patterns available:
Mon-Sun, Mon- Fri, 17:00 - 20:00, Sat-Sun15:45 - 19:45, 7 on 7 off shift, No break - 11.5 hours
ED, Mon-Sun, Mon-Fri, 17:00 20:00, Sat -Sun 15:30 19:45, 7 on 7 off shift, No break- 11.75 hours
What really matters is providing everyone of our patients with an excellent experience, a service that really cares and one that delivers the right outcome, and we achieve this everyday.
Interviews are due to take place between the 14th and 18th August 2023.
Main duties of the job
Provision of an efficient and effective high standard of cleaning services
To carry out all cleaning assigned, making full use of the guidance and training given, using all materials and consumables with agreed practices
To provide a service to wards and departments cleaning in close proximity to beds, with due respect for patients dignity
Manage cleaning schedules in line with patient and ward activity
Ensure all cleaning schedules are completed and checked on a daily basis
Provide emergency and ad hoc cleaning as required
Undertake manual and mechanical cleaning activities in accordance with the cleaning schedule
Comply with methods of cleaning required for areas
Work safely at all times
Use the appropriate work equipment and PPE provided. Report safety deficiencies and accidents through line manager
