maintenance team? We have a permanent opportunity for an Estates Manager within
our Operational Estates Department. You will be responsible for the management
of Estates maintenance staff, Estates specialist services and associated
maintenance activities to ensure a compliant and safe environment for Hospital
staff, patients, visitors and continuity of services.
Starting Salary basic: £50943 pa
Additional non-contractual attendance bonus: £1,000/annum
On call allowance premium: Circa £2,000/annum

Main duties of the job
The Estates manager will be resposible for reporting
regularly to and be accountable to the Head of Estates. Management of operational staff,
project/maintenance partnerships and budgets.
Main duties include
Collate and create project information and evaluation
reports.
Lead in providing engineering
maintenance for BFS, including management of staff.
Act as Line Manager, Authorised
Person/Responsible Officer in relation to specific specialist responsibilities,
e.g. Electrical Systems, Legionella, Medical Gases.
Lead on departmental reporting for
compliance and governance ie. PAM, ERIC
Procure/manage designated service
contracts in line with Standing Financial Instructions.
Maintain,
operate and review pre-planned maintenance programs. Review, write or propose changes to policies,
procedures and working practices.

- Degree level or equivalent in a Services trade (mechanical or electrical engineering) including Specialist knowledge gained through extensive relevant experience in hospital Estates environment, short courses and/or periods of study and significant previous experience in a supervisory capacity.
- Multi-discipline Authorised person.
- Authorised Person (HV/LV) or relevant experience to take on role.

- Evidence of ongoing personal development.
- Masters level qualification in relevant engineering discipline.
- NEBOSH or other Health and Safety related qualifications.
- Chartered services, electrical or mechanical engineer status.
