You will be joining a diverse and professional team, who take pride in providing a high quality and efficient medicines supply service to the Trust, to ensure that patients receive the best care.
You will need great communication, accuracy and organisational skills. You will need to follow strict procedures and instructions carefully; dealing with queries and issues promptly and escalating when necessary. You will also need accurate record keeping and IT skills.
You must have a good level of education, and this post will be based at our Clatterbridge Cancer Centre Liverpool site, but you may be required travel to work at other PharmaC sites as required.
Main duties of the job
As a Pharmacy Department Administrator, you'll provide essential administrative support across several work areas. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the Pharmacy Management Team with clerical and organisational tasks
- Booking meetings, managing diaries, preparing agendas, and taking minutes
- Maintaining electronic and paper records in line with confidentiality and data protection policies
- Updating reports (e.g. KPIs), databases, and internal systems accurately and promptly
- Assisting with recruitment processes (e.g. scheduling interviews, preparing induction packs)
- Managing internal communication, post distribution, and stationery ordering
- Assisting in the preparation of audit data and performance reports
- Supporting rota coordination and maintaining annual leave schedules
- Responding to phone/email enquiries and escalating urgent matters appropriately
- Ensuring smooth onboarding for new starters (e.g. IT accounts, uniforms, lockers)
