Job summary

The successful candidate will be joining our organsiation at an exciting time with a real opportunity to shape the delivery of procurement services across CHoICE and South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust.

CHoICE is looking for an experienced supply chain and inventory lead who can inspire others through change, with specialist knowledge in inventory management best practice including Scan4Safety.

As part of the Senior Leadership Team, you will lead and modernise the Supply Chain function in CHoICE to deliver a customer focused service through staff development, process improvement and use of technology.

Main duties of the job

CHoICE Procurement Service delivers a managed consumables service as part of an operated healthcare facilities management contract to South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust. Our Supply Chain function plays a key role in ensuring that clinical products and consumables are available at the point of clinical care.

Working with a high degree of autonomy, you will lead on producing and implementing a strategy that re-designs and improves the in-hospital supply chain incorporating technology developments to maximise benefits realisation.

You will work closely with colleagues across finance, operations and clinical to ensure decisions are data driven and clinically led giving Directorates improved insights into their current spending patterns and future opportunities.
