An
opportunity has arisen to join the small finance team at CHoICE (City Hospitals
Independent Commercial Enterprises Ltd).
CHoICE is a successful facilities management company that provides a
wide range of services to the South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Trust as well
as to a number of clients across the North East.
As we
continue to grow (turnover circa £94m) we need to recruit a Deputy Chief
Finance Officer to work with our Chief Finance Officer and the CHoICE Board in
leading the operational finance function in the Company. We employ over 650 staff across estates and
facilities, procurement and pharmacy. A

Candidates
will need to have commercial experience at a senior level, and bring a can-do
approach to the many challenges we continue to face in delivering our range of
key services to the very heart of patient-care in Sunderland and South

Main duties of the job
To
lead the operational finance function of a growing facilities management,
pharmacy and procurement provider, ensuring it remains competitive, as it
continues to grow in the current and coming years.
To
bring commercial experience and in-sight to a wholly-owned subsidiary operating
at the heart of the NHS.
To
bring challenge at a senior level to ensure future opportunities are fully
evaluated and explored before final decisions are made.
To
contribute to the Company wide discussions about future opportunities for
growth.

- Significant experience working as Chief Finance Officer or Finance Director (or equivalent) of a limited company.

- Advanced theoretical and practical knowledge gained through substantial post qualification financial experience and significant experience working as CFO or FD (or equivalent) of a limited company.
