In this role, you will play a key part in leading HEIW's corporate performance processes, supporting delivery of the IntegratedMedium TermPlan and Education and Training Plan, and ensuring robust performance reporting to the Executive Team, Board and Welsh Government. Working closely with senior leaders, programme teams and colleagues across Planning, Performance, Finance and Data, you will help develop meaningful performance measures, insightful analysis and clear performance narratives that support effective decision-making.

Main duties of the job

The Assistant Planner - Performance is a senior member of the Planning and Performance Team, responsible for leading, coordinating and delivering HEIW's corporate performance planning,reportingand assurance processes.

The postholder will ensure that HEIW's performance management, accountability and reporting arrangements are delivered to the highest standard, including high-profile requirements such as:

  • Monitoring the delivery of the IntegratedMedium TermPlan (IMTP) and Education and Training Plan (ETP) and recommending remedial actions whererequired

  • Integrated Quality, Performance & Delivery (IQPD) meetings

  • Joint Executive Team (JET) meetings with Welsh Government

  • Service Review meetings across all directorates

  • Welsh Government reporting requirements

  • HEIWBoard andHEIWExecutive Team performance cycles

  • Annual Performance Report

  • Requirements under the Well-being of Future Generations Act

The rolewillprovideadvanced analytical insight, interpretation of complex data, and strategic performancesupport for strategicplanning support. The postholder will contribute directly to the design and deployment of HEIW's Performance Management Framework, the development of quantifiable high-impact performance measures, andtoorganisational capability-building in performance practice.
