THIS POSITION IS A FIXED-TERM TRAINING/APPRENTICE CONTRACT FOR 24 MONTHS
An exciting role has arisen at HEIW to join our team as an apprentice whilst undertaking a Business Administration Apprenticeship alongside your work. Fully funded and supported by HEIW as your employer and College Y Cymoedd as the education provider.
The role is offered on a hybrid working model, with the requirement to attend HEIW offices a minimum of two days a week, following a successful induction period. The course structure is flexible and tailored to meet the specific requirements of the employer and the apprentice. It includes a mix of on-the-job training, classroom-based learning, and self-study. The majority of the learning takes place on-the-job, while approximately four mandatory units are assessed via an online, multiple-choice test on campus. These tests are scheduled in advance with the employer and learner.
Although the successful candidate will aim to complete the course within 15 months, the employment contract will last for 24 months. At the end of the training contract, there may be a permanent position available, subject to successful completion of the apprenticeship programme and vacancies within the team.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide a range of administrative duties, which will include undertaking typing duties, using word processing i.e., letters and general typing, to include filing of clinical and non-clinical correspondence.
On occasions the post holder will welcome staff to the department, which may include guiding them to the appropriate room and answering general questions.
Duties will also include scanning, photocopying.
The post holder will provide administrative support in respect of keeping databases up to date and providing information for reporting purposes as required.
The post holder will adhere to the organisation guidelines and undertake any other duties as appropriate to the nature and grade of the post.
