Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join HEIW on a secondment basis to support the development of Workforce and Education within Healthcare Science in NHS Wales.
The post is a 0.5 Whole-time equivalent role offered on a part time, flexible basis to be agreed. The post is open to professionals across Healthcare Science in clinical or education roles currently. Understanding or experience of Healthcare Science Workforce at all levels is desirable.
The postholder will work alongside the Programme Manager for Healthcare Science and Associate Director for Workforce Transformation, as well as with established HEIW functions. Working as part of a small team and leading task and finish groups of the National Healthcare Science Network, the postholder will support developments towards workforce transformation of staff working within Healthcare Science Professions. The postholder will be responsible for supporting the ambitions of A Healthier Wales and the Healthcare Science in NHS Wales: Looking Forward Framework.
Main duties of the job
This is a key role within the HEIW Nursing and Health Professions Transformation and Quality Directorate and the HEIW-managed national Healthcare Science Programme. The role encompasses leadership, strategic planning, and management of key aspects of Workforce transformation. As such the postholder will be required to work in a matrix style management arrangement supporting the Associate Director of Healthcare Science Workforce Transformation as well as working alongside colleagues from Health Boards and Trusts of NHS Wales and other professional leads.
This post is fixed term / secondment until 31/03/2027 inline with workplan.
