There is an increasing demand for the translation of different materials into Welsh. As a member of the team, you will deal with this demand as well as receive guidance, support and mentoring from the HEIW Welsh Language Services Team. This will be for the benefit of providing a specialist translation service from English to Welsh and from Welsh to English. The post holder will assist with the day to day operational work of the team which will include liaising with staff across HEIW. The aim is that you will develop your skills over the period to be able to apply for a Band 5 translator role within the organisation. You don't need previous translation experience, just high standard skills in Welsh and English as well as enthusiasm for translation, passion for words and motivation.
