HEIW Pharmacy Deanery are looking to recruit a Pharmacy Clinical Placement Lead to lead the newly implemented Funded Undergraduate Clinical Placement Programme.
As a result of mandated changes to the GPhC initial education and training of pharmacists (IETP), there is a requirement for undergraduates to have increased quantity of clinical placements at a "DOES" level in Miller's triangle in order to achieve the new learning outcomes. Funded by Welsh Government, HEIW will be responsible for the funding and Quality assurance of the collaborative programme with HEI's in Wales.

Lead and retain overall responsibility for the Funded Undergraduate Clinical Placement Programme.
Apply pharmaceutical expertise and specialist assessment and quality assurance knowledge to the Programme including standardisation and quality assurance.
Main duties of the job
Manage the overall Funded Undergraduate Clinical Placement Programme including standardisation and quality assurance processes.
Develop, implement and manage All Wales Policy relating to the development, standardisation and quality assurance.
Manage the Funded Undergraduate Clinical Placement Programme, contributing to the provision of quality assured services delivered by student pharmacists.
Work in partnership stakeholders to ensure consistency, standardisation and quality assurance of the Programme throughout Wales.
Work in partnership with stakeholders to monitor the delivery and development of education, training and development resources for the programme.
Support quality management processes.
Manage projects to ensure quality assured education and training for the programme.
Participate in agreed pharmacy practice research, collating data and contributing to evaluation.
Analyse and interpret highly complex data in order to provide regular reports to the head of undergraduate and foundation pharmacist clinical education lead.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
