Job summary
The successful individual will be providing project management expertise and support on designing and developing the Strategic Perinatal Workforce Plan within the Workforce Transformation Team (Nursing & AHPs) in Health Education and Improvement Wales. The successful individual will also work on other key programmes and initiatives across the department and on conclusion of the perinatal programme, will be deployed to other major change initiatives. Health Education and Improvement Wales' (HEIW) vision is to develop a skilled and sustainable workforce that improves care and population health.Over 100,000 people work in the NHS in Wales and are pivotal to building a sustainable health and care system that meets the needs of the population. Main duties of the job
Plan and organise a range of complex activities in support of service redesign, for example developing and monitoring detailed project plans with teams, at organisation wide level and with partners.
Develop governance arrangements for the project.
Identify risks and develop contingency plans as and when necessary.
Keep the Project Board informed of progress through the preparation of Highlight and End Stage Assessment Reports and ensure they are aware of progress and risks escalating as appropriate.
Ensure risks and issues are monitored and managed through the development of risk and issues logs, identifying risks and develop contingency plans as and when necessary.
