Job summary

The Recruitment Service provides recruitment advice and solutions to service users on the range of recruitment process and procedures in addition to providing advice on terms and conditions and processes relating to Employment checks such as DBS, Right to Work and ID checks.

As an Assistant Recruitment Manager you will provide senior recruitment advice and support to managers on request and take a pro-active approach to particular recruitment situations by developing and providing options for consideration. Seeking advice from the Recruitment Business Partner and/or Recruitment Manager as necessary.

You will also ensure that quality checks are undertaken within designated part of the process and that local and national quality standards are met and support the review and update of recruitment practices, policies and procedures within agreed protocols.

This post is fixed term / secondment until 06/06/2027 due to Maternity cover.

Main duties of the job

A critical part of the Recruitment Services Team, under the leadership of the Recruitment Business Partner and Recruitment Manager you will supervise and co-ordinate standard recruitment process and associated activities.

In your role asa line manager you willmotivate, develop and lead your team to achieve excellent results in a demanding environment.Contributing to the development of a National Recruitment Shared Services for Wales. You will be comfortable focusing on the bigger picture whilst maintaining attention on the essential details.   • Degree level or must be able to demonstrate an equivalent level of knowledge and experience gained within a recruitment environment
  • Working towards ILM level 5 Diploma in Management or equivalent demonstrable experience
  • Track record of continuous professional development

  • Significant experience at supervisory level or equivalent of managing a team
  • Excellent understanding and experience of using complex computerised systems such as ESR, NHS Jobs, Trac
