Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership based in Newport warehouse.
The successful applicant will work with the current Stores Management, Pharmacy and Transport & Logistics Teams to provide efficient support and oversight in the implementation of the flu program and any other related work streams.
To support the shift manager in overseeing the efficient running of the warehouse WMS, which involves goods in/out, stock cycles counts and supervising of staff.
Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership Procurement Services, SCLT. This will be to oversee the management of stock within Newport stores
The successful applicants will have previous experience working in a similar capacity, specifically Warehousing/Customer Service organisation.
An excellent understanding of Health & Safety is also essential for these roles.
The post holder will work closely with Stores Management, Pharmacy, and Transport & Logistics Teams to ensure that stock and orders are managed and processed effectively and in line with Organisational Operational Policies and Procedures.
Whilst providing supervisory cover for the team and undertaking operational responsibilities as required, the roles will cover but will not be limited to the additional tasks below:
- Ensure sufficient stock levels are held within the Stores to meet the needs of the customer whilst reducing obsolescence and waste
- The role will entail building up a sound knowledge of the monthly Stores Movement and Stock Adjustment reports to assist the Shift/Warehouse Manager to maintain correct stock levels
- Physical stock takes of goods held in each Warehouse
- Processing and quality checks of orders in readiness for distribution
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
