Job summary
The Business Manager (BM) within Laundry Services supports the Assistant Director Laundry Services, and the Laundry Managers, in the shaping and delivery of operational excellence across the Laundry Service. The role will also manage business change introduced by the reconfiguration of the All-Wales Laundry Service with implementation of new equipment, systems new contact technologies which effect working practices.
Building and developing credible and productive relationships with NWSSP Colleagues; All Wales Health Board colleagues; Managers; employees; external stakeholders and Trade Union Partners, and with a focus on customer and employee experience, you will provide a broad range of business management, corporate and operational support services
Main duties of the job
The BM is required to plan and deliver the business change required for the successful implementation of local and national projects within NWSSP Laundry Services. This includes liaising locally with service champions, organisational leads, Implementation Staff, Project Managers and local Training Resources as well as working collaboratively with the wider programme teams newsletters/bulletins, organizing workshops or staff one to ones e.g., change of working patterns.
o Leading on the development and ongoing management of a performance and governance framework to include the determination of appropriate KPI's with which to measure the performance of the service; the development and maintenance of the services' balance scorecard; the management of progress against the Service's IMTP, workforce plan, and risk register.
o Project lead on any new All Wales Laundry Service Implementations for any roll out of specialised procedures pan Wales and freedom to act as project lead. With the Assistant Director, support to the transition phase of the Laundry Programme to an All-Wales Laundry service. Provide direct line management, and HR functions such as sickness returns and PADRs, to the Business Support Team and centralised admin teams to ensure continued effective Business Support for the All- Wales Laundry Service. Ensuring workload is set to all staff.
