An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and passionate project and programme professional to join the NWSSP as Assistant Head of PMO.The Assistant Head of PMO will predominately be responsible for the effective delivery of the NHS Wales Decarbonisation programme, working with a small team of project managers and supporting the Decarbonisation Programme.The individual must have excellent organisation skills to effectively support the NWSSP Steering Group, Senior Responsible Owner, Programme Lead and Key stakeholders to deliver a transformational change with impacts across NHS Wales.The role will require work at all levels across NWSSP, Health Board, SHAs, Trusts and with Welsh Government.An understanding of NHS Wales and the relationship NWSSP has with Health Boards and Trusts would be advantageous but is not essential.The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
The Assistant Head will be expected to have a sound understanding of NHS Wales and the relationship NWSSP has with Healthboards and Trusts.The post holder must possess excellent communication, stakeholder management skills, which will help ensure policies, processes, and methodologies are developed and adopted across the organisation and wider boundaries in support of the NHS Wales Decarbonisation programme.You will lead on data analysis within the programme and projects, reviewing complex data, communicating data issues and accurately analyse and interpret information to inform all aspects of work.The post will also seek to support and embed best practice across the organisation, working closely with stakeholders from all services within NWSSP and NHS Wales.In addition, the post holder must also be determined and passionate PPM advocate focused on delivering projects and programmes to the highest standard, following already in use good practice and clearly focused on benefit realisation and successful business change.This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team and help play an active role in continued success of NWSSP.
