Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen in eEnablement Training Team to work as part of the eEnablement-Procure to Pay Team who are responsible for supporting a number of functional aspects to support Procurement Services, Accounts Payable and Health Board/Trusts. These range from system technical developments, system training, business intelligence reporting and e-catalogue content management. Surrounding this is robust training and communication.
The eEnablement - Procure-to-Pay team are responsible for supporting Procurement Services and Accounts Payable to develop and implement efficiencies throughout the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) cycle across NHS Wales. We do this by maximising the use of new and existing technology, automating processes, provide clear and comprehensive support and guidance.
This business is delivered by 3 distinct functions; 1) Systems (including e-Catalogue Management), 2) Service Improvement and Developments (including training and communication), 3) Business Intelligence reporting.
Main duties of the job
This is an opportunity to work in a dynamic team whose primary aim is to make a direct positive impact on the purchasing and payment process in NHS Wales.
This post will support the delivery of procurement systems training to staff across NHS Wales. Developing new training material using multiple methods of delivery e.g., e-Learning, Workshops etc., ensuring data quality standards are met
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

To train and support Oracle end users throughout relevant NWSSP departments and Health Board/Trusts on the Oracle Purchase to Pay System, in line with Policies and Procedures.
Give support and exercise judgement, problem solving and analysis skills in identifying whether suppliers and their associated systems and processes are suitable for integration with the Health Boards Oracle system
Interrogate the Oracle Purchasing system on trends in purchasing activity, ensuring accuracy and passing to the department officer for consideration.
To provide information/solutions to queries which requires explaining information to suppliers or staff who have little or no knowledge of the Oracle Purchase to Pay System.
To effectively communicate with user departments regarding the use of the procurement system and recommend process changes where necessary.
To provide the end user perspective to all new Oracle developments through e-mail updates and/or User group meetings.
To ensure widespread promotion and use of E-Procurement solutions across the Health Board.
To support the e-Enablement Management Team in liaison with Key User Group Meetings on training issues, relating to ordering and receipting of goods and services.
To provide statistics on review activity and provide recommendations in the development of each review.
To deliver and manage an Oracle Training programme to all new staff in relevant NWSSP departments and Health Board/Trusts to defined timescales as part of the project plan.
