Job summary

An opportunity has arisen within Transactional Services, Payments Section in the Pontypool Office of NWSSP PCS for a Payments Officer.

Applicants should be self-motivated and flexible in their approach to work and must be able to meet tight deadlines while adhering to strict policies and procedures. The successful applicant will need to be PC literate and possess proven organisational skills, as well as the ability to establish good working relationships with colleagues and clients.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Main duties of the job

To calculate, analyse and validate claims received from all Primary CareContractors.To organise the provision of information to practices regarding GPs,Pharmacists, Opticians and Dentists paymentsTo Assist in the process of ensuring that all payments are accurate and aremade in accordance with statutory deadlines.
