Main duties of the job
The Business Procurement Manager role involves managing the spend across Primary Care, Mental Health and Voluntary 3rd Sector within the Non-Medical team. You will be instrumental in ensuring compliance with Health Board Standing Financial Instructions (SFI's) and Standing Orders (SO's) across the whole category, As a procurement role you will be expected to have experience and knowledge of the tendering process, including contract management in line with the Procurement Regulations. Following Brexit, Procurement Regulations have undergone significant reform in the UK, resulting in the Procurement Act 2023. Our tendering is process driven, resulting in a compliant route to market for our high value expenditure. The ability to influence and seek alternative solutions in our challenging economic climate is critical within this role. Prior knowledge and experience of the Primary Care, Mental Health and Voluntary 3rd Sector is pivotal to driving this role forward and would be a significant advantage. As with all senior roles you will be required to work extensively with other team members and stakeholders of all levels.
