Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership based in Newport IP5 Warehouse on a permanent basis.
The successful applicants will have previous experience working in a similar capacity, specifically Warehousing/Stock Management, along with responsibility for ordering of goods and stock control.
An excellent understanding of Health & Safety is also essential for the role.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work closely with the wider management team to ensure that stock is managed effectively and in line with Organisational operational policies and procedures. Whilst providing supervisory cover for the team and undertaking operational responsibilities as required, the roles will cover but will not be limited to the additional tasks below:
Main responsibilities of role
- Ensure sufficient stock levels are held within the Stores to meet the needs of the customer whilst reducing obsolescence and waste.
- Receipting of inbound stock and Internal stock transfer to Regional Warehouses across Wales.
- Provide supervisory cover in the receipts area of the warehouse.
- The role will entail building up a sound knowledge of the monthly Stores Movement and Stock Adjustment reports to assist the Shift/Warehouse Manager to maintain correct stock levels.
- Rotation and date life management of stock lines.
- Physical stock takes of goods held in Warehouse.
