Job summary
An Exciting position has arisen to work within NWSSP Supply Chain Logistics & Transport [SCLT] as an Assistant Supply Chain Manager, supporting the Regional and Warehouse Managers post holder will be based in our Large Warehouse based in Newport.
To effectively develop and manage the Supply Chain process at IP5 Stores to include managing staff in the Warehouse and providing direct support to the Warehouse Manager. To contribute to the overall strategic direction of the department whilst adhering to the departments ISO / Quality framework.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
To develop and oversee a Management meeting structure, positively promoting NWSSP and SCLT Core Values amongst staff and management team.
To ensure that the warehouse operations are run efficiently by supporting the Warehouse Manager in overseeing all areas within the warehouse.
To review Staff Performance, evaluate and act where required.
Conduct random quality checks on deliveries are undertaken to ensure picking accuracy.
To provide support to the Shift Managers and Supervisors with managing the Warehouse Management System, ensuring that KPI are met, and issues escalated where necessary.
To identify any shortcomings in warehouse management system along with picking and delivery schedules.
To deputise for the Warehouse Manager as when required.
