Job summary

NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership (NWSSP) is looking to recruit a Project Manager to support the growing development of the NWSSP Project Management Office (PMO).

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established team with a track record of supporting successful delivery, working together with our service leads across a wide range of service area's such as Pharmacy, Laundry, Primary Care, Logistics, Employment and Workforce Services.

The post will play a key role in the continued success for NWSSP and its customers, with projects varying between business change, new service development and digital system investment projects, all offering excellent development opportunities.

The NWSSP PMO leads through innovation; theimplementation of a number of projects that support change management and service improvement in line with our Annual Plan, strategic objectives and other key business requirements. The Project Manager will be expected to have a sound understanding of NHS Wales and the relationship NWSSP has with Health Boards, Special Health Authorities and Trusts.

Main duties of the job

The post holder must demonstrate listening and learning using excellent communication skills and stakeholder management, all of which will help ensure good practice, policies, and methodologies are developed and adopted across the organisation and wider boundaries.

Ideally, the successful candidate will be a determined and experienced Project Manager with clear evidence in their application of taking responsibility for projects and programmes to the highest standard preferably with a strong background in Agile/Scrum methodologies, but also following already in use methods to deliver successful change and realisation of benefits.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh applicants are equally welcome to apply.
