Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity to lead our professional Finance and Corporate Services Division, as we continue to expand the services we offer the NHS in Wales.

This is a broad strategic role and you will work closely with the Managing Director, the Senior Leadership Group and Shared Services Partnership Committee to deliver NWSSP's strategic plan and objectives.

Main duties of the job
As a fully qualified accountant, you'll demonstrate the highest level of professional expertise and leadership in developing a shared vision within the organisation and across the local health, social care, public services, and academic community to achieve buy-in and commitment.
You will be the Chief Finance Officer as well as being accountable for Information Governance and Risk Management, Communications, Facilities Management, E-enablement and Counter Fraud. The role is also responsible for the hosting arrangements of NHS Wales Finance Academy and a passion for attracting and developing the next generation is key.
You'll need extensive experience and leadership of a major finance function, ideally in the NHS or a comparable sector; a sophisticated grasp of business planning and budgeting; and evidence of achieving your objectives, while also developing and managing high-performing teams.
You will additionally bring experience of adaptability and leading through a background of change and uncertainty. You'll set high professional standards, demonstrate personal and professional credibility and have excellent commercial, communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
You will also delight in leading the Health, Safety and Wellbeing agenda within NWSSP, being an Ambassador for positive change in this area, ensuring our staff are treated appropriately with their Wellbeing at the forefront of our decisions.
