Job summary

Digital Health and Care Wales (DHCW) has embarked on a transformative project to reimagine the ground floor of our Cardiff office at Ty Glan-yr-Afon into a state-of-the-art Digital Futures Lounge. This multifunctional space will serve as a hub for digital inclusion, user-centred design, skills development, and collaborative innovation. To support the successful delivery and ongoing operation of this initiative, we are seeking a dynamic and technically adept professional to join our team.

This role will be pivotal in ensuring the seamless integration, support, and optimisation of advanced Audio Visual (AV) technologies across hybrid meeting spaces, collaboration zones, and digital showcase areas. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver a user-focused, accessible, and future-ready environment that reflects the ambitions of the Welsh Government's Digital Strategy and DHCW's commitment to inclusive digital transformation.

This role also includes assisting in the development, maintenance and support the relevant systems for the Cardiff locality team in accordance with specifications / operational requirements of NHS Wales.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Main duties of the job

Support the technical implementation of AV and hybrid meeting technologies across the Digital Futures Lounge and other DHCW facilities, ensuring seamless user experiences.

Collaborate with internal teams, external suppliers, and stakeholders to deliver integrated solutions aligned with DHCW's digital strategy and accessibility standards.

Support the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of meeting room devices, digital signage, and collaboration tools.

Provide hands-on support and troubleshooting for AV systems, ensuring minimal downtime and high availability.

Contribute to the development of user guides, training materials, and onboarding sessions to promote confident use of the space and its technologies.

Monitor system performance and user feedback to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Support project planning, procurement, and vendor coordination activities as required.

Assist team members to devise solutions for complex issues. Supported Services include (but not limited to):
