Job summary
Please note the post is an internship. Depending on experience we may offer the post as a Band 4 Assistant Data Analyst. If appointed as an Assistant Data Analyst, progression to the next pay band is dependent on meeting an agreed set of competency criteria managed through Personal Development Review (PDR). Once those criteria are met you will automatically progress to a Band 5.
This post is fixed term to 31/10/2024.
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Data Analyst to join our outstanding team within Information Services. This post will play a key role in maximizing the potential of the data we collect,in order toimprove patient care and services across Wales.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will cover a range of areas, including providing analytical, modelling and data processing support, as well as responding to information requests to provide data, run reports and develop dashboards through the application of analytical and data handling skills. There will also opportunities to support our data warehousing and acquisition team. Experience and a working knowledge of NHS datasets, and tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, and Python would be an advantage, though not essential. Full training is provided.
