Job summary

The post is a fixed term/secondment until March 2025 to meet the needs of the service.If you are interested in applying for the secondment position, you must obtain permission from your current line manager prior to applying for this post.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Data Analyst to join our outstanding team within Information Services. This post will play a key role in maximizing the potential of the data we collect, in order to improve patient care and services across Wales.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will cover a range of areas, including providing analytical, modelling and data processing support, as well as responding to information requests to provide data, run reports and develop dashboards through the application of analytical and data handling skills. There will also opportunities to support our data warehousing and acquisition team. Experience and a working knowledge of NHS datasets, and tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, and Python would be an advantage, though not essential. Full training is provided.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who enjoys working as part of a strong team and can demonstrate a commitment to delivering a high-quality service. This is a fantastic opportunity to engage in exciting work whilst supporting critical workstreams.   • A commitment to continued professional development and the ability to learn new IT related systems.

  • Registered with a relevant informatics professional body.
