Job summary
What you'll be doing:-
As Lead Test Analyst, you'll be responsible for testing our Welsh Laboratory Information Management System (WLIMS) :-
- Writing the test strategy and overseeing execution of test plans.
- Collaborating with third-party suppliers and internal teams to ensure software is tested.
- Assisting the WLIMS operational support team with all aspects of operational change.
- Writing and executing test scripts.
Whilst doing so, you'll learn about and contribute to our test framework and the rules governing how we test. You'll also improve your skills by contributing to your Personal Development Plan (PDP).
What software will you be testing?
- Welsh Laboratory Information Management System: used by pathology staff to record and exchange information such as test results for multiple disciplines. This will include the transfer of information to other NHS Wales clinical applications to ensure an "end to end" testing approach.
- Intersystems TrakCare Lab and TrakCare Lab Enterprise
- Intersystems IRIS
- Data integration with other NHS Wales clinical applications

What skills do you need?
- A good listener, you're able to analyse information and not afraid to ask questions.
- Experience of working in a pathology laboratory setting
- Experience of writing and reviewing test strategies and plans.
- A good communicator able to express your thoughts and opinions clearly.
- You'll be comfortable signing off test phases. Careful to consider others' opinions but confident to defend the conclusions you reach.
- Able to maintain relationships with other test teams.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
