Job summary
- The post holder will take a lead role in the administration, development and maintenance of Business Intelligence Applications by ensuring system integrity, controls, interfaces, subsystems, BI tools and all reporting requirements are properly managed.
- The post holder will also review current business processes and provide recommendations for improvements to key stakeholders using current technologies available.
Main duties of the job
- to be responsible for the integrity, administration, development and support of all business intelligence applications in Finance and other departments in the organization.
- to plan and prioritise a wide ranging annual work plan, for example developing timetables and planning resources for data acquisition, data gathering, process mapping, BI development, and testing cycles; liaising with a variety of colleagues from different directorates, other organisations and stakeholders to ensure reporting requirements are met and systems are kept up to date
- to be proactive in identifying potential system and reporting requirements and provide advice on the most appropriate way to approach those developments, including process automation.
- to deliver improvements to end users from multiple work streams, by developing and designing bespoke solutions through a range of applications and software, including robotics, artificial intelligence and machine learning.
- to conduct research on different technologies in the field of planning, forecasting, analytics and automation.
- to represent the Finance department as and when required to different All Wales group
