We are looking for someone with a passion for achieving digital transformation in the field of medicines management. A subject matter expert for pharmaceutical matters and medicines management with compassionate leadership, to lead a team within Digital Health & Care Wales.
Someone who uses digital systems in their work and can see how digital systems can be improved to improve care delivery. With a strong background in leadership and engagement the successful individual will look to build relationships with our systems users and promote digital transformation through software and information across NHS Wales.

Main duties of the job
Work with a large variety of stakeholders internally and externally to communicate highly complex drug and medicine related information to prescribers, clinicians, patient/user groups where other professionals may challenge advice.
Undertake consultations, to develop and communicate service-related and complex technical software design information for clinical systems, between senior clinicians, Welsh Government, system developers and users.
Participate as a member of national clinical networks, project and programme boards with a remit covering medicines and/or prescribing.
Lead on implementation of a user centred design approach for new pharmacy/medicines related products and services and development of existing products, to gain national consensus of multiple organisations where there are conflicting views to achieve a once for Wales approach.

Have extensive knowledge of medicines information within the Welsh Single Care Record and NHS Wales national architecture, to lead on the development of pharmacy and medicines design content within NHS Wales and linking with other bordering systems within the UK.
Analyse evidence based clinical information and requirements from multiple sources to interpret into business need for individual organisations and all Wales.

- Registered as a Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council
- Registered with a relevant informatics professional body.
- Professional knowledge acquired through vocational master's degree in pharmacy (4 years) + 1 year pre-registration training + specialist knowledge acquired through post-graduate master-degree level or equivalent training, experience in pharmacy information systems.
- Knowledge of digital clinical risk management and digital clinical safety e.g. understanding of key clinical risk management processes, activities and documentation required to be compliant with DCB0129 and DCB0160 standards.
- Knowledge of project and programme management methodologies e.g. PRINCE2, Agile, MSP
