Job summary

Digital Health and Care Wales (DHCW) is a Special Health Authority established by Welsh Government in April 2021, and responsible for the design, development and creation of digital solutions needed to improve Health & Care in Wales.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Diagnostics Programme, Diagnostic services are a fundamental aspect of modern healthcare delivery. Clinical Pathways can only function properly with sufficient capacity to turnaround diagnostics tests, procedures, and reports in a timely manner. Digital Health and Care Wales is working to support the integration of new laboratory and radiology informatics solutions, expanding electronic requesting functionality, and enhancing the national availability of diagnostic results and reports into national repositories.

Main duties of the job

To lead manage and ensure the successful delivery of national project, or work streams of moderate complexity and risk ensuring that national project produce the required products, to the required standard of quality and within the specified constraints of time and cost.

Responsible for the project producing a result that is capable of achieving the benefits defined in the Business Justification/Case and the Project Initiation Document.

To provide task management for the Project Team.

Mentoring and training for the Project Team inc Project Officers and Project Specialists as appropriate.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

This post is fixed term / secondment for 24 months to meet the needs of the service.

  • Experience of working in health care
