Job summary

The role of the Primary Care Manager provides an excellent opportunity for an experienced, motivated, and passionate Manager with exceptional organisation skills to be responsible for planning and managing the implementation of the digital agenda across Wales, to Primary Care Contractors.

We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for an experienced Primary Care Manager to join the Primary Care Services Team, within the Primary Services Department of Digital Health and Care Wales.

The department facilitates and supports provision of digital systems and services that enable Primary Care Health Professionals to work across organisational boundaries, enabling continuity of care and avoiding duplication for both patients and professionals.

As one of four teams within the department, the Primary Care Team manages the implementation of new primary care initiatives and programmes of work on behalf of NHS Wales Health Boards and the Welsh Government.

Main duties of the job

THIS POST IS FIXED TERM / SECONDMENT FOR 12 MONTHS.

Responsible for managing a large portfolio of Primary Care Digital products and services, you will have proven yourself in previous roles to be a self-motivated and engaging Manager,committed to supporting effective and efficient operational delivery. Proven experience in supporting a culture of continuous improvement through service delivery and transformation is necessary.

You must have the ability to produce detailed and robust implementation and financial reports, detailing resource requirements to support the strategic and operational agenda whilst retaining flexibility.

You will be responsible for managing a large team, dispersed across Wales, therefore excellent communication skills are essential.
