Job summary

Following the release of ARRS GP information and funding we are looking for a newly qualified (within 2 years and not having had a substantive post), enthusiastic, forward-thinking GPs to join Bradford City Primary Care Network 4 on a fixed term salaried contract until 31 March 2026 with the possibly of extended further dependant on ARRs Funding. We will consider applications for between 4 and 6 sessions with a start date as soon as possible.

You will be required to work across 2 practices (depending on the number of sessions contracted for) supporting our patients through the winter period. All of our practices are rated good with CQC, some of which are training practices. We are a highly supportive PCN, and the practices all work closely together. We understand the importance of a good work/life balance with an open-door ethos.

Main duties of the job

To undertake duties governed by the PMS & GMS contract and Objectives of Direct and Local Enhanced Services including:

  • Face to face and telephone consultations.
  • Patient Home visits and Nursing Home visits.
  • Checking and signing repeat prescriptions.
  • Administration - dealing with queries, patient test results, referral letters NHS/private, task, emails and other paperwork and correspondence in a timely manner.
  • Cover all the clinical management of the patients in surgery as appropriate including initiating investigations, reviewing results, making referrals to secondary care or to other providers as appropriate.
  • Develop care and treatment plans in consultation with patients and in line with current Practice disease management protocols as well wider guidance such as that from NICE2-3.

About us

Bradford City Primary Care Network 4 (PCN4) is a network of Bradford City practices working collaboratively across the network area to look after the health of our local population. The PCN comprises of 5 local practices with a total population of around 50,000 registered patients.

  • Recording clear and contemporaneous I.T. based consultation notes to agreed standards.
  • Provide safe, evidence-based, cost-effective, individualised patient care within the surgery, patients own home or other environment where patient care is carried out.
  • Clinically exam and assess patient needs from a physiological and psychological perspective, and plan clinical care accordingly referring patients to other services/agencies in a timely manner, utilising Practice, PCN and local guidelines.
