Job summary
We have an exciting
opportunity for an experienced NHS 111 Clinical Performance Manager. You will
provide clinical leadership for the NHS 111 Services across Derbyshire,
Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire, and Milton
Keynes, Oldbury & West Midlands and will help to support the development
and delivery of high quality services within the companys strategic vision.
Key responsibilities include providing site based leadership to ensure adherence
to contractual and regulatory performance and quality standards, making
improvements to patient experience, service quality, and supporting the
delivery of high standards of patient care.
Main duties of the job
A person to lead the site based clinical delivery
of all NHS 111 Services to a quality which is compliant with national and
contractual standards.
Someone with commitment to excellent
patient care and services in the health sector.
To lead a coherent, dynamic, motivated,
well trained and skilled team that is capable of meeting the quality and
effectiveness targets for the NHS 111 business in a sustainable way.
To support performance management processes
and analysis that enables excellent patient care to be established and
maintained.
To support the delivery of continual
quality and efficiency improvement and innovation in clinical delivery
processes.
To support development of strategic
projects including the implementation of necessary changes to support the
growth of the company.
To support the clinical workforce plans for
the NHS 111 service to ensure the provision of sufficient resource, of the
necessary competence, at all times to deliver a high quality service

Purpose

The role
will involve providing proactive and professional clinical management and
leadership to site and remotely based 111 clinical advisors. The post holder
will be a registered clinician who thrives on developing and coaching others to

candidate will be responsible for the line management of a team of advisors who
are based either at a site or at home. The role with involve 50% of the time
spent at site and 50% working remotely; the post holder will be required to be

- Registered General Nurse / Paramedic registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) or Health Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Evidence of post registration clinical development
- IT qualifications preferred
- Accredited NHS Pathways user preferred
- Accredited NHS Pathways Coach preferred
Experience
Essential
- Previous leadership experience preferably at a management level
- Previous experience of management including engagement and motivation of staff
- Previous experience of working within a healthcare environment providing telephone triage/assessment
- Expert user of NHS Pathways and Adastra host system preferred
- Experience of working within a multi-professional / multi-agency environment
- Able to assertively and professionally manage challenge
- Previous experience of performance coaching
- Experience of communication with a variety of people
- IT experience (e.g. Word/Excel and other packages) as well as email systems and other electronic media
- Management of staff rostering and rota systems
- Knowledge of telephony systems
