What your typical day looks like:

Autonomous practice utilising your advanced clinical skills
to assess, diagnose, treat, and refer patients, ensuring comprehensive clinical
care.
-
Excelling in
communication, both verbal and nonverbal, establishing rapport with patients
and caregivers. Making confident decisions and communicating them effectively,
ensuring clarity and understanding.
-
Recognising and initiating where appropriate advice of
relevant specialisms.
-
Maintaining appropriate clinical records in line
with current practice guidelines.
-
Working effectively as part of a multi
professional team in collaboration with other members of the service.

Discharging or referring patients as appropriate
to internal or external clinical pathways.
To be a successful Advanced Practitioner youll need:

To be a registered Adult Nurse registered with the Nursing
& Midwifery Council (NMC), a Paramedic registered with the Health Care
Professions Council (HCPC), a pharmacist registered with the General
Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) registered as an independent non-medical
prescriber.

A minimum of 2 modules at Level 7, these must include Minor
Illness & Minor Injury
-
Capability to conduct a concise clinical history and physical
examination.

The ability to formulate a differential diagnosis management
plan.
-
Effective communication abilities in clinical settings,
alongside strong verbal and written skills, and proficiency in computer usage.
-
Strong negotiation skills and critical thinking techniques.
-
Thorough awareness of contemporary frameworks and
advancements in out-of-hours care, as well as specialised clinical/technical
skills in health and social care
-
Motivation, passion, positivity, resilience, and a determination
