Main duties of the job
As a Business Intelligence
Analyst, you will be an expert in the analysis of complex datasets and data you
have mined from databases and/or data warehouses. You will have the appropriate skills to
design, develop, generate, and maintain reports and dashboards. You will demonstrate your attention to
detail, check the accuracy of your reporting, and have a flare for deriving new
insights and conclusions to help guide business decisions.

Job responsibilities
Supporting all areas of the organisation in understanding and preparing data and reports for presentation or use.
Delivering large-scale reporting products via sprints
Responding to and completing ad-hoc queries
Provision of analytical support to wider business
Merging data from multiple sources and providing key analysis and decision-making infor-mation for clinical, financial, and operational activities within the organisation.
Supporting with smaller ad-hoc queries
Working with both local commissioners and NHS England
Supporting continuous improvement within the Business Analytics team through improvements to reporting processes.

- Ability to analyse and manipulate data to produce informative reports.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a relevant business intelligence role.
- Data gathering, with a focus on the right data for the right job.
- Proven experience of workload planning and delivery of key targets within a service environment.
- Results focused with track record of successful delivery.
- Previous experience of mining data from multiple systems.
- Experience of providing and discussing well written and clear insights to multiple areas across a business.
- Microsoft Office suite, particularly focusing on Excel.
- Microsoft T-SQL.
- Microsoft PowerBI.
Desirable
- Degree level or equivalent education.
- Additional programming languages, such as Python or R.
- Performance tuning queries.
- Experience of working within the Health and Social Care sector, ideally experience of the working within the NHS.
- Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services.
- Adastra, TPP SystmOne, telephony and WFM systems.
