Main duties of the job
The Data Quality Manager will be
responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and enactment of a data
quality strategy. You will work with the business to identify data quality
issues in systems and processes, then work with that business unit to enact
change to resolve the issues at source.
You will be responsible for all
regular returns, covering statutory, financial, operational, and contractual
reports. You will line-manage a small team of analysts who produce these
returns but will assume ultimate responsibility for their accuracy and quality.
You will be able to make difficult decisions about workload, capacity, and
priority, then communicate this to the wider business. You will be able to understand the status of
multiple projects and work-streams and be able to provide concise updates on
these when requested.

- Technical Expertise
- Data literacy, with the ability to work with the less data literate to achieve the right outcome.
- Technical documentation writing.
- Proven experience of workload planning and delivery of key targets within a service environment.
- Able to lead a team, managing workload and priorities to ensure business needs are met.
- Able to manage expectations of multiple stakeholders to focus on key deliverables.
- Project and Change management.
- Microsoft T-SQL.
- Able to work effectively with a wide range of specialists, at all levels, across internal and external organisational barriers.
- Track record of delivery with ability to overcome obstacles and constraints.
- Able to travel between DHU sites to meet with colleagues across the business, specifically ability to drive.
Desirable
- Degree level or equivalent education.
- High level of technical literacy, including O365 and Azure.
- Automation of high volume/low effort tasks.
- Confident in leading meetings with multiple stakeholders from a wide variety of backgrounds.
- Experience of working within the Health and Social Care sector, ideally experience of the working within the NHS.
- Working with data quality frameworks, particularly in a healthcare setting.
- Experience of Information Governance rules, processes, and toolkits.
