Salary
£41659 this is DHUs own
banding and does not match the agenda for change.
30% enhancement pay between 8pm
and 8am.
45% enhancement pay on the
weekends.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be employed
as an Associate Practitioner (Nurse/Paramedic/Pharmacist) within the
organisation. This is a twelve-month fixed term developmental post. Upon
successful completion of competencies and academic modules, where appropriate,
the post holder will be eligible to apply for a Clinical Practitioner
(Nurse/Paramedic/Pharmacist) position within DHU Health Care.
Through clinical assessments and
competency development, autonomy will increase. The Associate Practitioner
(Nurse/Paramedic/Pharmacist) will be part of a multi-professional/skilled team
including a variety of clinicians and support staff providing accessible
services to the population of Derbyshire.

treat and refer patients appropriately and evaluate patient care.

need for, initiate and where appropriate interpret relevant diagnostic
investigations.

need for and initiate where appropriate advice of relevant specialisms.

To exhibit excellent
communication skills when dealing with clients. Nonverbal and verbal skills
required. To have the ability to make clear decisions with confidence and
communicate these effectively.

To maintain
appropriate clinical records, ensuring that documentation clearly demonstrates
the NMC / HCPC / GPhC Guidelines for Records and Record keeping.

To supply medication
under patient group directives.

To work within the
parameters of his/her skills and knowledge, to recognise the limitations of
ones own practice and to work within the bounds of ones training and
capability according to the NMC / HCPC / GPhC Code of Conduct.

awareness of developments in clinical practice.

To work effectively
as part of a multi professional team in collaboration with other members of the
