You will be required on an as and when basis working variable hours and days, including weekdays, evenings, weekends and bank holidays with mutual agreement and prior notice.
You don't need a medical background, we just need you to have experience of working in a customer service environment, which can include in a voluntary capacity. You will set up and run What's Your Blood Type? events where you will perform blood typing testing for which training will be provided.
It would be ideal if you live roughly within 15 miles of where our events take place, as things can move quickly and you might need to travel at short notice. We do offer extra pay for weekend shifts, and well cover your travel costs based on our policy.
You will also need to be able to travel to Southampton, Plymouth and Exeter as part of the role. Travel may be via your own car, NHSBT pool cars, or by train, so being able to travel confidently and reliably is a must.
