Job summary

NHSBT are looking for a Senior Community Grants Support and Performance Officer to support our unique Community Grants Programme. The programme works with a wide network of inspiring community partners who are leading powerful, grassroots work to raise awareness and inspire donation - and this role plays a key part in supporting and showcasing that impact. In this role, you will be providing effective operational support and performance management of the Community Grants Programme, working closely with the Community Engagement Grants Manager. This includes leading on the day-to-day operations of the programme, alongside overseeing and implementing clear, effective processes to manage the programme and impact. You will need to be highly organised and proactive and possess excellent problem-solving skills. You can be based at one of NHSBT's main centres, as this role has a national focus. While some in-person meetings may be required, most of the work can be done remotely.

Main duties of the job

  • In this role, you will be responsible for increasing understanding, supporting behaviour change and growing and diversifying the blood, deceased organ and living kidney donor base through effective operational and performance management of the Community Grants Programme. Your responsibilities will include: Lead the operational and performance management of a crucial programme, delivering clear outcomes against our key strategic priorities.
  • Responsible for overseeing and implementing robust grant management and evaluation processes and systems across the end-to-end grant process
  • Support the delivery of the Community Grants Programme within the Donor Experience directorate.
  • Lead on key functions of the programme throughout the end-to-end grant process, whilst also managing the day-to-day operational effectiveness of the programme.
  • Lead on managing multiple external relationships; providing effective project advisory support to external funded partners, and a grant management agency to ensure optimal grant activities.
  • Support multiple internal team relationships to establish cross-collaborative working processes to amplify the impact of the grants programme.
  • Manage all grants programme communication whilst developing engaging communication strategies and platforms.
  • Develop performance frameworks and produce regular reports to share to key internal and external audiences on the grants programme activity.
